Historisch Tijdschrift Holland  is a historical magazine about the past of the Dutch provinces Noord- and Zuid-Holland. Holland is published four times a year and each edition covers a new theme and contains academic articles as well as journalistic contributions. It aims to serve a broad, historically interested audience. The magazine also ensures that books published on the history of Noord- and Zuid-Holland are reviewed. As an editor of Historisch Tijdschrift Holland, I am involved in all the activities of creating a magazine. Duties vary from writing and editing of articles to brainstorming for themes of upcoming journals. Other activities include judging Bachelor and Master Theses for the annual Holland Thesis Award and organizing symposia and launching events around special editions of the magazine.
